Problem Installing AVIC D3 in Chrysler 300 2007

Recommended Posts

Here is my problem

First I did the by-pass on the AVIC D3

I have in the car the Boston accoustic with 8 speaker with OEM amp

I have the metra CHTO-01 harness for my car I did hook up all wire IAW the instruction except for the mute and parking brake which I left unplug because of the Bypass mod done on the radio

Now here is my problem

1. There is no sound coming of the deck but everything else work fine

2. The Deck is always ON even with no key in the ignition

Any help will be gladly appreciated

Thank

Steve

as far as the sound problem goes, you need to call metra and get the info about an update that needs to be done they will give you the contact number and website for the guy. you then get the update cable hook it up to the pc and it will work.

the unit not turning off means the acc wire is not shutting down properly. easiest is to connect it to the switched cig lighter. if your car doesnt have it then go to the ignition and use the pink/white ignition wire(its thin like 18 gauge)
