I don't have the specific pinouts for your car, sorry. If it were me, I'd bust out my voltmeter, hook one lead to vehicle ground (metal bolt works fine), and the other to one of the suspected wires (red/blue for example). Flip the headlights on or off and see if the voltage changes. If it does, you've found which wire is signaling headlight status, and connect it to the illumination wire coming from the AVIC. To connect it, I'd recommend soldering and insulating with electrical tape (or better yet, shrink tubing). But if you don't feel comfortable with that, a tap is just fine.
