CharlestonKR
I have a 2007 F150 with no reverse camera. I just ordered the 2008 handle with the hole/mount for the factory reverse camera. I've seen others put 'cheap' cameras in there from eBay, but I was looking for a better fit with my Z2. I was wondering if it is possible to disassemble the Pioneer camera and mount that. The mounting hole in the handle is about 1". Please help!

cntrylvr79
Not really you'd be better off finding a pinhole camera that fit's into the hole.
cheezesteak
I spoke to the guy who did my unlock for the Z2 and he said if I get a wiring diagram for the Ford factory installed camera he could probably tap into it and put the inputs into the Z2. I will keep you updated.

Julius
Why not use a license plate frame camera? Easy to install and no disassembly.
cntrylvr79
Why not use a license plate frame camera? Easy to install and no disassembly. Extremely easy to steal on a pickup. I replace at least one ever couple of weeks.
Julius
Ok that means I'm going to see if I can bolt it down from the back then bend the bolt so the nuts won't screw off. They will have to cut the bolts or break the housing trying to get it off.I knew it was relatively easy to steal but not that frequent. Thanks !
