GuitarGuyBMG
Hey guys. I was wondering how difficult the rear view camera install was? I am thinking about getting one, but it will be after I have the Z2 installed this weekend. Is it very difficult to install the camera after the initial unit is already in? whtcrxghst
Do you know how to tear your car's interior apart to get the wires from the rear of the car to the front? Can you tap into the reverse wire of your vehicle? Can you find power and ground? If you answered yes to all, its easy...but does take some time
GuitarGuyBMG
ah. Yeah I'm not really comfortable doing all of that. May just have someone professional do it.
big-fokker
If you have the time then I'd say at least try it yourself. Check the web to see if your car type has an owners forum where you can find info that you'll need to locate entry and exit points. I've never installed audio gear in any one of my vehicles until last week. I found an owners forum for my F-150 and inside there were multiple threads where owners showed pics of their installs. I found ways of getting from the battery to the rear wall inside the cabin. I ended up putting in a Z1, 3 amps, Component speakers in all 4 doors, 2 subs and all my signal, power and ground cables with the help of the forum members, and saved at least $500 by doing it myself Just ask around, someone should be able to point you in the right direction
