sportsfan21
I'm installing my AVIC-D2 this weekend and I wanted to know whether you get better reception if it is mounted on the roof or on the dash? Thanks.
cntrylvr79
Depends on the car. some vehicles have a metalized film in the window that can cause problems with a nav system picking up the gps signal. Best bet is to do the antenna last and try it inside first. If it don't work inside then outside it goes.
Passat 05
In the dash! But check the many recent threads on the subject (Search).

I have a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder LE.
cntrylvr79
do you have one of those white ezpass things? if that works on the inside then the gps antenna will too. Otherwise only way to find out is how I said before and do the antenna last.
sportsfan21
Ok, thanks. EZPass works in my car so I guess the antenna will too.
