Hi folks,

 

Looking to install the D3 bt in a 2008 Boxster in Scotland, will it show safety camera locations, and can they be updated?

What is a "safety camera" ?

Not many cameras in the US.

No idea how you could program it in either, unless it was a D3 specifically for the UK.

I had a garmin GPS and to load the red light cameras, it was under the POI on that website.

 

how it works is that it give you the coordinates of the red light camera

I am not sure if the D3 has something like that

I know it's not an option on the US models... So I'm going to assume it won't on the European models either.

I remember there being a feature on the D3 to add address locations on the D3. If you can add the addresses onto the D3 that has those "safety cameras" you can program that location to play a sound as you are coming up to that point. I don't think it will work very well though, because you need addresses, and I would think those cameras would be in intersections.

You can add that location as an address, though. There is an option to save your current location to the address book, and name it. If you are at the location of the camera, save that location, and set a sound to play.

 

Of course none of this will help if you don't know where they are in the first place.
