MisFit Posted April 23, 2008 Report Share Posted April 23, 2008 i came across an eclipse avn 5435 today from a customer who bought the truck used and it had the unit in it already. the screen says insert disc even though the nav disc is in already. im thinking the previous owner loaded a cd for the esn feature. does anyone know if there is a way to reset this? Julius Posted April 23, 2008 Report Share Posted April 23, 2008 A Misfit, I believe there is a way around the feature.I called my shop who deals with Eclipse and told them the problem(They installed my Viper alarm).They told me to bring it in and they're look at it.I told them you were out of state and if they told me I could tell you.Then they started talking like there wasn't a way to do it. Obviously, they have a way but don't want the public to know.If I were you I would call some shops that sell Eclipse in your area and maybe they'll be more open to you since you have your own shop.
