bigwhite6oh Posted April 23, 2008 Report Share Posted April 23, 2008 picked up just an el cheapo ebay cam, pic looks fine for what i need it for...when the D3 powers up, I have to navigate my way thru the screens, for it shows a black screen with CAUTION IMAGE MAY APPEAR REVERSED or whatever it is the warning that displays for the camera. is there a way around this, or do I have to deal with navigating around it every time I get in my truck? thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites
NY99Q45t Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 Sounds like you have the reverse wire wired to a constant 12v, rather than to a source which gives you 12v only when the car is in reverse. There are two ways to view the input: placing it in reverse when hooked to a 12v reverse switch (automatic), or going to the map view screen and choosing rear view (manual). bigwhite6oh Posted April 27, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 its wired into a fused circuit that powers additional spot lamps when the trucks in reverse, which only come on when the truck is engaged into reverse. even with the video disconnected from the unit, it still gives me the message everytime....
