  1. Sounds like you have the reverse wire wired to a constant 12v, rather than to a source which gives you 12v only when the car is in reverse. There are two ways to view the input: placing it in reverse when hooked to a 12v reverse switch (automatic), or going to the map view screen and choosing rear view (manual).
  2. Got it working, thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks. I didn't see the brown RCA - must be burried - and actually I just assumed that yellow was ACC because the power lead on the XM tuner was yellow. If yellow is BATT, which color in the harness is ACC?
  4. I ran the power to the yellow ACC in the harness and grounded it to black in the harness, hooked the rca to the yellow video input RCA. I checked the harness at the camera with a test light and it's getting power. But I still get no picture? The camera is set to "on" and polarity to "battery." Have I missed anything, or is it likely the actual camera?
  5. Beyond what was already said with regard to screen resolution, and the lack of effective advantage in visible resolution on a 5.5 inch screen, I would add that I would hope they would not drive up the price of the unit to add such a useless feature that caters to such a small interest. blue laser media has such a miniscule portion of the market share in DVD video sales, that it would be too far ahead of the the market curve to justify the cost increase.
  6. Why wouldn't you want the valet to know how to get your car back to you after his joyride?
  7. A bump to once again see if anyone else is experiencing this, An update: my sound loss in the RF speaker is across inputs, which rules out an Ipod interface issue and would appear to indicate a sound processing issue. I'm probably just delaying the inevitable, and will have to pull it and ship it, but I wanted to give it one more shot.
  8. Do you find it across sources? I'm pretty sure that I have experienced it with the radio as well as with my Ipod. But I cannot remember it happening with the radio for sure. So it may be an issue with my Ipod or Ipod interface. I am trying to confirm that. If I am instead able to confirm that the issue occurs with the radio as well, I would thing that it's a processing issue which will require it to be sent back to Pioneer. I'm hoping its the former.
  9. Is there a gains adjustment on the interface?
  10. Bump...I'm the only one that has seen this?
  11. I am having intermittent issues with the output on my D3. The LF speaker output will drop dramatically at times, often when the unit is jostled. I first thought it was a wiring issue, until I played with the balance and realized that it wasn't grounding, the output level was just lowering in that speaker. I then found that if I turn the volume up past 33, the sound will come back. It seems like a processing issue with the balance. Any thoughts or experience on this issue before I contact Pioneer and have to send the unit in for repair?
  12. Is there a substantial difference in total mileage? If not, have you considered that the z1 has just used different time calculations?
  13. But can you set a route with an origin on one disc and a destination on another?
  14. If I'm not mistaken, isn't vicinity search limited to 5 miles, however?
