ricerocket21x
yes it is possible, i put a pioneer 6800dvd (double din 6-dvd headunit) in an 05 accord. we only have single din kits in our shop, but for the double dins, u have to go to a honda dealership n get it from them n it works like a charm. the kit replaces the entire pocket n should run around 20 bux. hope this helps. tdb
hello, thanks for the reply so you were able to get a full double din kit from honda? cause i didnt' know they even have that. all i've seen are these which is for single din. do you happen to have the part number for that full double din kit? cause that would be a big help, cause i was planning to do alot of fabrication and mod to get that. thanks again. btw do you happen to have pix also? ricerocket21x
yes, oddly enough honda had the double din kit which is weird. sorry i don't have the part number but i do have pix i took wit my fone. the shot is kinda of dark but notice how its slanted like the accords. this is a 6800dvd not a z1. tdb
wow thanks alot. that does look very nice. even better how it is mounted give a lil room at the bottom. that does look like our accord 6speed shift knob.
ricerocket21x
good call itz an 05 accord coupe 6-speed manual. it was a nice car n the customer also bought 4 speakers, 5 channel amp, n an L5 sub. it turned out great n it looked sleek, it just sux the factory radio up top is useless. tdb
i found the part number for that double din It is called the "Attachment Kit" P/N 08B06-SDA-100 you can't use the oem HU for audio output into the Z1? as a aux audio source? that would be a shame since the oem has a 6 disc changer too. that was my plan. saczkid
thats nice. is there a way to keep the cover so that the unit is not exposed? thanks for any response
cntrylvr79
You'll have to remove the cover from the pocket. Then more than likely cut the brackets that held it to the pocket off and fabricate new ones to make it cover the z1 or whatever else you put there.
tdb
thanks for the great tip about the honda double din mount got them on yesterday fitment was perfect couldn't done it with out your help. only problem the Z1 doesn't flush the honda face plate. there's .25 inch gap on each side. and the trim ring from the Z1 doesn't fit to cover the gap. so i have to mod it a bit later. but overall it's good. took off the faceplate for the bin storage to cover the z1 when i park. will post pix soon. perhap a write up for others. thanks

tdb
here you go. pretty nice fit. just have to fix the trim ring from the z1 to fit and cover the side gaps
