jnava007
I want to install the F90BT, but I heard that I would have to do some modifications on my dashboard since the unit is too big too fit in, is that true? Can someone give me some advice on how to proceed. Thanks

Thanks open the panel and measure the amount of space....u need roughly 7 1/2" x 4". and if you dont have that im sure you can take a dremil or a grinder (any cutting tool down those lines) and trim back as necessary....assuming you heard correct of course. jnava007
So I guess this is the easiest way to do it, I would assume, there is no other way..

impalacustom
Yep you have to chop away. The space in your dash is for a din and half, not a double din. It is exactly like all the Silverado's out there, we all had to do some cutting and make it fit then make your bezel fit by cutting it as well.
stoveken
if you want to make it alot less cutting get the 03 dash bezel. you can also get the dash sub panel that holds the factory double din radio. with only minor trimming on the bottom of subpanel and drilling 2 rivets you then use a metra kit to mount the radio real nice jim
