blindmind3
I was having issues getting my phonebook to transfer until I found this http://www.jetwaremobile.com/ I was finally able to upload the contacts from my Verizon SMT5800 Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6 Standard. And it uploaded them all in one shot. Just wanted to pass it along.
coasterlvr
i was real happy to have my Verizon Wireless XV6800 connect and upload the phone book flawlessly. i had my concerns because of the issues the btb-200 had with windows mobile 6 phones.
ballmatic
I have the Motorola Q9H running Windows Mobile 6, and it took a few times, including Windows crashing on the unit, but eventually it did transfer my phone book without any special software.
btailor508
Has anyone had any success with the palm os based smartphones? I'm on the verge of buying this unit however, the only thing holding me back is the bluetooth, as I do not want to loose that functionality. Granted they fix all the other flaws.... shagmanx
For those that have done it, I'm looking for a step by step PhoneBook/Contact transfer help. I've exhausted my limited knowledge and tech abilities, but still cannot get transfer done. The phone is paired via Bluetooth, so call can be placed and recieved, but no contacts. HTC 6800 (Sprint Mogul) Windows Mobile 6 Thanks
bobsyouruncle
I have the HTC Dash from tmobile (wm5 i believe *edit - nope wm6). I am pretty sure I had to edit the bluetooth profile for the avic on my phone to enable the serial port before it would transfer. When you go into the transfer phone book screen on the avic, "ok" through the stupid beam prompts to the actual transfer screen. It should be the one with the cancel button. Just don't press cancel. I left mine to do its thing for about 5 minutes and it transferred the contacts and all was well. Good luck.
shagmanx
still not working what do I do with the phone, start/run any applications?
bobsyouruncle
Do you have a "beam" option you can enable on your connections?
shagmanx
Beam: Receive all incoming beams. CHECKED. Bluetooth settings: Devices - Pioneer Navi - Serial Port & Hands Free CHECHED Mode - Turn on Bluetooth - Make this device visible to other devices CHECKED COM Ports - None at this time Security - Authentication (Passkey) required NOT CHECKED
bobsyouruncle
The only other thing I can think of would be to go into your contacts on the phone and select a contact, then "menu" - "send contact" - "beam" (if you have that option). I tried that early on... didn't seem to do anything. Then after just letting the Avic do its thing on the transfer page (the one with the cancle button), all my contacts were there, not just the one I had previously tried to "beam." Could also be your cell provider has limited your devices capabilities. those bastards are notorious for that kind of stuff.

shagmanx
lsdlls07: But what are the setting for the software, or are you just installing it.. done? Thanks
shagmanx
Anyone else having issues, or have Sprint phones that have got this to work? I'm still trying different methods, but nothing is working.
blindmind3
I installed it with default settings. Then I chose the "phone book" setting and then the "send contacts" setting with all defaults. On the AVIC, go to the phone book transfer settings and keep clicking OK until you get to the "loading data..." screen. There should only be a cancel button at this point. You need to send the contacts from your phone at the "loading" screen. This is all off the top of my head. If this doesn't help, I'll try to give you a step by step when I get back from vacation. shagmanx
Got phone book transferred. Now what. I have multiple listed names for all contacts (even ones with only one phone number??), voice (name) calling doen't work for any of my contacts. So the point was Where do we go from here.
