schmiddytwo
Since Crutchfield allows user reviews, i think we all should submit reviews of the unit as is. This will give us another public forum to address our complaints....Plus, we'll put crutchfield in a position to have to take up the matter as well.
cmcgivern
This is actually a great thread to start...I submitted a long review on Friday but they have yet to approve it...Do you think they might not approve it because the sale of the product might be affected? I would think that Crutchfield would want its customer's to have as much info about the products as possible, good or bad.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
good point, but anyone that reviews can make it clear that it's not Crutchfield's fault, and that they didn't buy the unit from them. I would think that Crutchfield would want its customer's to have as much info about the products as possible, good or bad. it doesnt matter if they say that in the review but online stores are based on a 5 star rating, youre not gonna give a good rating and then say this unit sux, so even tho your taking crutchfield out of blame their rating will go down. and even if crutchfield has all this info, what are they gonna do with it? bring it to pioneer's attention jus like every1 that owns one? its not gonna speed up the fw update, pioneers well aware of the issues and theyre working on it now. the concept is good but i dont think ruining a 'middle man' online store's reputation will accomplish anything. a better idea would be to get in touch with crutchfield representatives and inform them so they stop selling it until its fixed. which wont affect anyone in any way, if you dont own one yet then you dont want to buy one yet. and itll save crutchfield in that they arent selling faulty products. i didnt mean to rant or sound like a dick if thats how i came off but giving bad reviews about a product that crutchfield cant do anything about doesnt seem right
Chrisj
Crutchfields rating will NOT go down if you post a bad review about a "product". "Site" ratings affect Crutchfield and any other online retailer. To se online retailer ratings you goto resellerratings.com, to see merchandise review you goto a site that sells that particular item and allows people to post a review. By what you are saying Crutchfield's 9.77 rating on a scale of 1-10 is because ALL their products have good reviews which is not true. But the point of the topic was since Crutchfield sells so much merchandise maybe they will say something to Pioneer about it, I mean they have that high of a rating because they are VERY VERY customer service focused, they make you fel happy you bought something, even if you did pay more, plus sellers listen better when resellers complain, some resellers have better contacts than just the customer service line. Just like here at work if I get bad service from Dell I have a VP who I can call and she will make sure I do not have bad service again, but a home user, you get bad servce, keep calling the 800 number in hopes for good service. The point is mute now though becuase the update has been released. I also encourage everyone to by patient, yes i know you ready for your new toy but as we see the update is out and now everyone is having problems with TTS. Be patient it will all be fixed, and YES in my opinion the F series was relased about 6 to 8 months too early. But great work on the Kuro PDP 6020FD Pioneer!!!! As always ENJOY your toys!!!! CatchMeIfYouCan631
out of everything i said, you wrote that essay entirely off one statement? you completely missed everything else i said. back when this thread acutally mattered (which was over a month ago) some1 suggested writing bad reviews on crutchfield so they will notify pioneer and i said no because they have no control over pioneers mistakes and them complaining wont speed up the fw update.. y do that to the middle man. but now its over and done with, the fw update is out and this thread can be forgotten. dagreat1
what are u talking about. Crutchfield is a mojor customer of Pioneer and there opinion carries much more weight than yours or mine. If i'm upset with a unit and complain to pioneer I'm going to be dealing with an uneducated pioneer customer service rep that doesn't really care because I've already bought the unit and I probably won't be looking for another navigation unit for a little while. Crutchfield however is buying a ton of these things and If they threaen to stop buying them from pioneer that would be huge. I promise they would be talking to someone much more well informed than the people we get when we call for service. So to sum up, This is a brilliant Idea and shouldn't be limited to just crutchfield. Pioneer definitely doesn't want a bunch of bad reviews about their product either

I am still having lots of issues even after the update. Heck I just tried to make a bluetooth call during my drive to lunch, and the call went out, but the call screen never popped up. I couldn't turn the volume up or down, or get to any screen. And earlier this morning while on the way to work, I was listening to the SD card, and then I pushed the button to initiate voice dialing, and then it sat there for about a minute - changed songs - and rebooted. We are in need of more updates I think, lets keep the pressure on.
