s1xsp33d Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 apparently the adapter for the a4 doesnt have an option for a dim wire. i have worked on other stereos but never the a4 and never an avic. i need to know what wires i need to splice and where to allow for the dim function and also to unlock nav features while moving. (if anyone is experienced and in the area i would be willing to pay for assistance) i also plan on upgrading to the z3 60gig drive. any help is much appreciated... one other thing i was wondering is in the z3 firmware, is there any way to change the button theme to something other than blue? its bad enough the actual buttons clash with my red interior, but the on screen too? even the d3 can change! thanks! iiibdsiil Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 Parking Lights GRAY/BLACK L (+) GRY/RED R AT LIGHT SWITCH DIODE ISOLATE I never hooked my dimmer up, so I'm not sure if it is looking for a hot or ground to activate.
