Z2 rear view is not available. wiring or settings?

my camera is working on reverse but when I choose the Rear View I only see gray box on 3/4 screen. is this a wiring problem or setting that I have to adjust?

I know this is old but I am thinking that if you have the unit set up to work with reverse signal only it is not going to show up when you select rear view. I think that there is a way to set it up for rear view on all the time and it will work that way.

Hmm does it work in the split screen view in the Map view settings. Ie half nav half rear view? Hit the Map button to change the view to see if that works. GC

Also just a thought is your unit bypassed. I wonder if this is greyed out because your in motion beyond the normal reverse function? Just a thought as my unit works but its also bypassed.

The problem is that the installer or whomever hooked up your back-up camera used the reverse power that switches the nav to view the back-up camera, for the power source of the camera. When you put the vehicle in reverse, the camera has power. When you change map view to rear view the camera has no power because your not in reverse. hook the camera power up to acc 12v. I've had to rewire a few that were hooked up that way. You might think that it is not good for the camera to have power whenever the key is on, but I've had no come backs for camera failures for that reason.
