sportsfan21
I have a D2 that is bypassed and working great. I am going to install an XDV-P6. I was checking out the manuals and it says that both unit have their own parking brake wires that need to be hooked up to the parking brake to detect whether its on or not. My question is this; if my parking brake wire is grounded, and my D2 is bypassed, do you think that they will show images while the parking brake is off? Is there a bypass for either one that I need to do? Its not like the nav systems where they have ways to detect if the car is moving, so I think just grounding the parking brake wires will work, but I wanted to see what you guys think. wkderf
for those units all you need to do is ground the light green wires. they dont have a complicated lockout like the other units.
sportsfan21
Thanks, thats what I thought. One more thing, I already have my D2 installed and that parking brake wire is grounded, so I just tap into that wire and that will work right?
