GOLDCYLON Posted July 17, 2008 Report Share Posted July 17, 2008 Hello Im upgrading my current HU a DEH-P470MP that has a SIR-PNR2 and CD UB100USB that controls the IPOD. I am replacing this unit with a with a Z2 Heres the question.. is there any difference between the USB100USB and the CD-IB100ii for IPOD functionality on the D2 or are they the same? It is my understanding from reading on this forum that without the IB100ii the on screen controls wont be an option. Is that true? If its the same I wont need to fish the UB100 from behind the dash when I do the equipment migration. I was hoping someone here has the answer. Thanks Daryll Quote Link to post Share on other sites

GnatGoSplat Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 In PM we were talking about CD-IB100 and CD-IB100II, those two are the same, completely identical, the only differences are cosmetic. The CD-UB100 USB adapter is a completely different unit hardware-wise. However, on a Z2 it is an "External Device" so it won't work the same, it is craptastic in comparison.
