AVIC ALTIMA
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone installed the AVIC F series into their 2007-2008 Altima Sedan yet. Which dash kit is the best one to use from peoples experience? I need a clean look after the installation. Thanks!!!
PassiveJJ
This post helped me find all the parts I needed for my 08 Altima Coupe (I think the dash in the sedan is the same): http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/f-q-2007-2008/262504-altima-aftermarket-radio-install-necessities.html Nissan makes a dash kit with the same textured plastic to match rest of the dash. kulacool
Looking inot putting an Avic F Series in my altima coupe also, As soon as the supposed update is released - I wouldn't use a dash kit, instead buy the factory dash part for naviagtion equipped altimas, if you have the manual climate controls (three knobs) it will look factory! Previous Poster nailed this - use the nissan club forum - great site - same place I found this info!!
cigga24
i just used the one from Crutchfield. It looks ok until you touch the border, its a little loose.
ivazar1
I used the metra kit supplied by crutchfield and I don't like it at all. So I ordered one from nissanpartsonline.net. It is supposed to match the textured interior but will only fit if you have the manual climate controls and not the dual digital ones. I'll let ya know how it looks when it arrives. It said on the link above, that you will need to fill in the spaces if you use the factory dash part for the navigation equipped altimas, by using some additional plastic. So i am just wondering how do u know that it will look smooth? Thanks.

AVIC ALTIMA
Thank. But thats for the auto climate dash. I was wondering which kit would be the best for manual climate in order for me to get the smoothest finish. I wanted to get all the parts before my system comes in so that i can instal it as soon as it arrives. Thanks.

AVIC ALTIMA
the OEM kit is way better than the metra one. It looks like a smooth and factory finish. Check out the pics below for my finish...
