ryan420
you'll need to have a route in memory..ie programe route take disk out and put mp3 disk in..
HiFiSi
1. Put in nav disk 2. Program in route into unit 3. Eject nav disk 4. Play mp3 CD Every time you need to program in a route, you need to insert the nav disk. But once you set the route, you can remove the nav disk because it will save the current route onto internal flash memory.
TurboEight
thanks... I thought you would be the first to post up the answer.. lol i knew I could count on you though.. thanks.. what if I made a turn NOT following the instructions? will it re calculate WITHOUT the NAV disc? or no? then I would have to hot-swap again? HiFiSi
It keeps a little bit of the area surrounding the route in memory, so if you don't get TOO far off you might be OK. But yes, you may have to at some point. You want my 2 cents? Buy an old 5G ipod and put all your music on it. Then you can leave the nav disk in there and never worry about it. I'm telling you, once you have an ipod hooked to that thing, you'll never want to even think about another CD.
