GnatGoSplat
It's not a flashy install, but I like how it came out... subtle and looking factory. The truck was originally 1.5-DIN. I did NOT use the 2003 bezel, note the climate control opening is the proper shape and size so that the climate control fits properly and the lighter jack door is completely unmodified. Total cost: about $11 (and a lot of time). I will not be beaten by 1.5-DIN!
CatchMeIfYouCan631
well worth the labor and time, it looks factory. good job!
cahunna2001
you said you did not use the 2003 dash bezel ?
GnatGoSplat
Nope, I butchered up the existing bezel and lowered the climate control by 4mm.
cesar85
what are you using to hold the unit in place? What else did you have to purchase to make it look so good?
GnatGoSplat
I'm using the outer brackets from my old 1.5-DIN installation kit and I attached them to some brackets I made with an angle grinder (with cutting wheel), hammer, pliers, and a drill.
