between the people here, and a couple folks over at www.corvetteforum.com I was able to install my Z1 on my 2005 Corvette C6 painlessly today! It really helps to read through all the problems others have had and see what worked and didn't.

Thanks especially to Ducati Boy and his flasher unit.

Mine is a June build and I installed the ipod, sirius and bluetooth add ons.

For future corvette people searching, this thread at CF points to a 14+ page word document covering the install of an Eclipse AVN5435. It was most helpful, especially with the VSS wire information.

For adapters, I used peripherals GMCO and BKGMK382 dash kit, from www.discountcarstereo.com

For the illumination wire, I at first used the gray/black wire off the Traction Control button, like posted elsewhere on this site, but for me, that low voltage connection wouldn't trigger ducati boy's flasher, so I ran a wire back to the wiring harness going to the tail lights and put it on the tail light circuit.

Wired in right before the wiring harness goes through the back to the bumper area, reverse light to light green wire, illumination to a kind of grayish brown wire.

VSS wire, at the ecu, as per the above CF link.

The only current issues are the poor bluetooth mic, which I plan on replacing with a directional one, per the forums advice, and the static when pushing buttons. I will look for a new ground, other than the harness, but its kind of tough on a plastic car!
