  1. I'm saving info to my SD card, but can't get the nav system to open it. Anyone got some tips?
  2. my 3gs charged until I upgraded to OS4, now it doesn't anymore. Thats ok, I hate this POS headunit anyways. The Nav sucks. Looking for another Z3 now.
  3. didnt do anything but pull it out. I had less than 24 hours from getting the car from the body shop and the first big car show. I was thinking 500 would be fair? EDIT "SOLD IT YESTERDAY"
  4. how much you wanna spend? I have a Z1 that thinks you are always in motion and locks all those features out. everything else works though. mike@thepowdercoater.com
  5. I was considering the 900 also, and a corvette forum vendor who sells it said they are different harnesses.
  6. NOT!I got the car back from being repainted, and had them paint my center console also, so I figured it was a good time to switch over to the 2 wire bypass. Removed the flasher circuit, installed the 2 wire bypass and it was no different. The C6 is a pain to get the center console out, and I had a car show the next day, so I went to fry's and bought a Z3. Plugged it into my existing wiring and it works perfectly. Something else is not right. I would have gotten one of the newer units, but I like the Z series and it was easy, plus time was of the essence and I didn't feel like rewiring.
  7. I had my Z1 for 2 years before just replacing it with a Z3. They are supposed to learn your driving habits, but I went the same way to work every week and it never learned anything.
  8. I successfully did the firmware update on my early Z1, sort of. It did solve the lock up issues, but it always thought the car was in motion, and I couldn't enter addresses or do anything but use previous destinations and address book. I did the later bypass and that still didn't work. I needed to get the car back together for a car show, so I just went out and bought a Z3. Used all the original wiring and swapped it out, and the new one works perfectly now, so it wasnt a problem wiring in the new bypass. Anyone need a Z1 to play with? All the new wiring from the Z3 box available too, as
  9. thanks, I was hoping that was the case. When the car gets back from the paint shop for its current mods, I will do the later mod.
  10. the bypass worked flawlessly until I did the firmware upgrade, now it always thinks the car is moving.
  11. I have an early unit with ducatiboy's flasher mod. I know I need to take that out and do the later mod, but haven't gotten around to it. Today, I noticed, when I wanted to enter a new address (usually I just use prev. dest or address book), that the option was blanked out, as were all the things that are normally blanked out while driving. The thing is, the car was sitting in the garage. The speed sensor said 0, but it wouldn't let me access a lot of stuff. Will just taking the flasher mod out restore these things? Its easier to get to than taking the headunit out. TIA!
  12. Probably been covered before, but I can't find it in the search. I have one of the early Z1s with ducatiboys flasher bypass installed and after doing the firmware upgrade for the lock up, the bypass no longer works. Do I have to do the post June bypass? If it has been posted, a link would be appreciated!!!
