What exactly does the Loudness feature do? I have it set on Low right now. I keep my EQ at flat. My subwoofer freq at 80Hz.

Loudness raises the level of the low (bass) and high (treble) frequencies to give the music a fuller sound at lower volume levels. It's most apparent at lower volume levels and tapers off as you turn up the volume.

So if I listen to my music loudly (high 40s/low 50s) then I should just turn it off?

Yeah... it's pretty much useless at that volume. You'd be better off using the bass booster setting, or changing EQ settings. You can even customize your EQ settings to change the sound to suit you and save them to one of the two custom EQ presets.

I switch between flat n powerful eq settings. I'll try messing with the bass booster. Thanks hifisi.

The "powerful" EQ setting is pretty much exactly what the loudness function does, only the EQ setting remains constant with volume whereas loudness does not..

All factory EQ settings are not so good..... bass is always way too loud ... I ONLY use custom EQ settings.... only one i use is vocal when i listen to radio shows, all the othger ones are pointless. unless u want to blow all your speakers, especially if u got factory ones....
