702 Motoring Posted August 9, 2008 Report Share Posted August 9, 2008 I have a customer that I think attempted an upgrade or something...I tried using the z2 upgrade disc (unit is a z2) and it wouldnt take after 3 days on display. So then, I decided to try the HD upgrade to Z3 image. The Z3 image (full restore just to be safe) installed fine, the unit showed it was upgrading for about 15 seconds, tried to reboot, then reboots 3 times after about 15 seconds of attempted booting, then crashes...sorry Im rambling..its 3 am here and I am frustrated! lol Any advice would be appreciated...I have other units, will try another drive after this msg, but also read somewhere that the unit should still start up and do radio without the hard drive unless something else is wrong... I also guess that you cant take a "locked" drive and move it to another unit, so I will have to unlock and flash another drive...sounds like tomorrow with some sleep will work better thanks for any help in advance... 702 Motoring Las Vegas Quote Link to post Share on other sites
