The parking brake has to ground after the unit boots otherwise everything that is normally locked out will stay locked out. If you hook it to a switch, you'll be able to use the nav functions, and watch movies until the car starts moving over a certain speed. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

vsugorilla9 Posted September 3, 2006 Report Share Posted September 3, 2006 so the system has to boot with the parking brake wire wired normally then you can ground it to get nav functions while driving? what about the solder bypass can you do that before the unit boots because i havent installed the unit yet but needed to know whether or not you could do it before the unit is installed?
