Z2 Bypass

Hey guys! i have my Z2 coming in on friday, and i have a few questions.

 

Will i have you update the unit with the 34mb file in the sticky thread?

 

and also, i read through the whole thread and found different answers, can someone answer me clearly.

 

i read that you have to remove the yellow/black wire and move it to the slot right above it, and ground that wire, how would i do that? and also ground the parking brake wire.

 

next, i read that you can ground the parking brake wire and add a wire into an empty slot on the harness and ground it.

 

i did click the link on the 2wire bypass page but it still doesnt make sense to me.

the answer is "you might" need to run the update CD

 

as for the wiring of the bypass, reread the instructions.
