07BlackSSon24s
Hey I'm currently working on installing my Avic D3 into my silverado SS with bose/onstar. I have the GMOS adapter for the bose/onstar. MY problem is i can't connect all the right wires together because some of the wires i need are already placed in the 24 pin connector from the last install. It was previously in a regular silverado with no bose/onstar. My question is should i pull out these wires from the standard adapter and connect them to the bose/onstar wires like the instructions said or what? I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do to pull out the wires from an existing adapter and tape them with the adapter wires. Thanks i appreciate all help.
bird_dog0347
If it came out of a non-bose and is going into a bose setup... I would remove the non-bose harness from the AVIC harnesses and rewire it all. Us solder or butt connectors though, please don't twist and tape.
mancer08
they make harnesses especially for the bose systems. instead of speaker leads they have 4 rca's for each speaker. I would make sure you got the right one
