Clarification on VSS for '93 Dodge Stealth

Recommended Posts

I've actually talked about this before but might have new info...

This is the discussion before that mentions the VSS is in the ECU cluster on pin 66, (something I wasn't good enough to get too)...

But while researching some more, I looked at the pre-ODB1 diagnostic port and it says that the speed sensor is on pin 11, (this is really easy to get to!) Can anyone confirm that pin 11 will work, (as in has anyone successfully tried it)?

So I decided to try it, and it seems to work!

Using pin 11 on the diagnostic port is about 1.2 million times easier then the ECU pin 66, so for anyone with a VR4/Stealth <= 93, you can hookup the VSS to pin 11.

Right now after 10Km, it shows 27,000ish Speed Pulses and the learning has changed to "3D Hybrid". This is the end result right (for when a VSS is hooked up?)?
