gaiex
Hello all, Does anyone know how the updates for the F900 work? How is the unit updated, by dvd, by SD? I'm asking this because I'm considering changing my Z2 unit for a F900 unit since at this moment I need to update my Z2 and I have to pay +200€ for new map updates! If the updates for the F900 can be obtained by a cheaper way I will go for the F900. Thanks
HackZ
I am almost sure. All you have to do is download the update to the SD for the F series, It on the Avic411 home page. But if your are going to go and get a new F series radio u will most likly not need to update it.
HiFiSi
Almost guaranteed all future firmware updates will be downloadable from pioneer's website and can be installed with an SD card or USB stick. The only thing I see that may cost money is 2009's map updates, possibly. But even then, they MIGHT also be downloadable. But we won't know until that time comes.
