kg_jettaIV
You're probably going to need a PAC-SWI-PS and a programmer, don't remember the model. That adapts the CAN-BUS and programs the correct functions. They are made by a company called Peripheral electronics or something like that. Check Crutchfield and http://peripheralelectronics.com/ Hope it helps
davidwizard
thanks! does anybody know pioneer has such adapter or not??
best8845
This is the adapter you'll need... (or I have used in the 2008 JETTA) C2R-VW <- All extra input you need: Illumination, VSS, and +12V Switched... You need this if you are not using SWI-PS OR SWI-CAN <- Same thing as above, but need to use with SWI-PS below... Cheaper... Choose ONE above... AND SWI-PS <- Steering Wheel Buttons Control for Pioneer Headunit The C2R-VW comes with VW harness adapter already... So the other thing you need is the Metra 40-EU55 antenna adapter... enfigcarstereo.com have all the stuff you need to get the job done... Pioneer does not have any adapter... PAC is the brand name and solutions
JLeach12
pacswican and pacswips are the modules however if they didnt fix the software it wont work too well.
daneel069
I have a VW Eos 2007. Same as any MK5 with MDF I had to get all three of those peripherals to get the steering wheel buttons to work. The buttons work okay. not great. only the vol up, down and ATT work. Track up down, other functions that use the same buttons as the MFD (Multi function display) dont work. FYI
