matrix733
Does the Z2 automatically dim at night like regular Nav units? All my portable and OEM units dim the background at night, but my Z2 does not. Thanks
CamelTowing
Did you hook up the illumination wire? Map background won't know when to go dark if you didn't
matrix733
I thought i did, I am using a gmos-04 interface and it has an illumination and a dimmer wire. I hooked the Ill wire up but I will double check to make sure as I need to take it all apart again for a remote start install. Thanks
jwq
In adition, you also have to set it to automatic to switch automatically... To improve the visibility of the map during the evening, you can set the timing for changing the combination of the map colour. 1 Touch [Map] in the navigation menu. 2 Touch [Day/Night Display] to change the setting. Each time you touch the key changes that setting. Automatic*: You can change the colours of a map between daytime and nighttime according to whether the vehicle lights are On or Off. Day: The map is always displayed with daytime colours. ❒ To use this function with [Automatic], the Orange/white lead of the navigation system must be connected correctly. ❒ You can also change the brightness of the screen between daytime and nighttime with [Dimmer]. ➲ “Operating the picture adjustment†➞ Page 142 P.S. in the hardware menu, you can see if the illumination wire is hooked up and working without having to pull the unit out.....
