Beeping noise

Recommended Posts

In the thread linked at the bottom of this reply, Stephanie identifies four files on the unit's computer that contain the beep sounds as .wav files. You'll need to change these to .wav files that contain silence instead of the beep sounds.

In her post, she offers a silence .wav file for you to download. You'll make four copies, rename them as she specifies, then paste them over the ones that came with the unit.

When implemented, the computer will continue to play the sounds each time you touch the screen, but now the sounds will be sweet silence!

The beeps drove me crazy. Thanks to Stephanie, we don't have to wait for Pioneer to get their act together.

You'll need to know how to boot the unit into the test mode to access the file directory so you can make the switch. As always, do so at your own risk. Screwing up the computer's file directory could kill (brick) the unit.

Good luck shutting up the beeps. And thank Stephanie.
