Cthomp04
I recently had my Z1 installed and I love it, except for the fact that I can't play videos while driving. I saw Ducatiboy posted instructions on how to bypass. Has anyone with a Z1 manufactured after 7/06, tried grounding these wires? Was it a success? Are there any other ways to bypass? How do you know when your Z1 was mftg.?
whtcrxghst
You probably want to post this in the Z1 forum, but yes the ground bypass works on units produced 7/06 and later. You can find out when yours was made by looking on the sticker on it (or the box if you have it.) PaisanNYC
Quite a few people here have posted that DB's post July 06 hack works. Just check out the appropriate Z1 forum. As whtcrxghst said, the manufacture date is on the sticker on the headunit itself, as well as the side of the box. Good luck with the bypass! :)
Cthomp04
How do I post this in the Z1 forum? Do I have to start a whole new one?
