Lastmth16
I just purchased a used avic n1. It did not come with any DVD nav software so I ordered the 60mt upgrade. My question is will this upgrade make the avic n1 be able to control the ipod, with the pioneer ipod adapter, just like the n3? I noticed that this upgrade disc I ordered is SUPPOSE to update the n1 as an n3. Is this so or do also need another update disc? Thanks, Matt
sportsfan21
No. The updated iPod integration is a result of a hardware change between the N1 and the N3, not a software change.
Razorback_Fan
So are you saying that you can not use the N1 to control the ipod? Can you only control the ipod from the ipod controls?
sportsfan21
You can control the iPod from the N1, but the interface is terrible.
Razorback_Fan
I wish someone would post a pic of the screen with XM/Sirius and ipod. It would be nice to see how the interface looks.
cntrylvr79
It looks almost identical to the screen that shows up when you're listening to fm radio.
zerooctav
Can you use the ib-100II with the N1 with the original N1 software? If so, does it just come up as one of the EXTs? If the answer is yes to both of those questions, can you then use the ipod clickwheel? kinda involved so let me see if I can make it any simpler.... can an Ipod be used IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE through the ib100II with the original N1 software? thanks.
