stamati76
Hi All, Im having my AVIC-F900BT installed tomorrow however i want to use a topographical map which is sold by a company in Australia called HEMA. These maps only work with a windows compatible OS. Does the AVIC-F900BT have this OS on it already or is there a mod/hack to install it? Many Thanks Matt
Ravage
The Avic F series is based on WinCE this is not a desktop OS, but similar to what you find on Windows Mobile Phones. If it requires Windows, it probably won't work on the Avic. Have a look at this thread about launching alternative software http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18522
stamati76
Apparantly these will work on a WinCE OS. Can you confirm that it is the full OS or a customised version?
pipspeak
would probably be better to post the question on the hacks/mods board... those folks seem to know what's what. Having said that, I've read numerous posts there that suggest this might be a custom WinCE setup wrt hardware drivers etc. For example, it's evidently tricky to install even alternative nav software like TomTom, which should normally run fine on WinCE, without random glitches like no sound.
