Do the files in the MiTACAP folder overwrite files already on the unit? With update 2, do you have to change the files within that folder?

I don't think you will see once with the F series, your best bet is to wait until next year for Pioneers next model.

You need to set AV2 to Video and then the 3.5mm jack will work like a standard aux port. You will get a video screen also, but nothing shows unless you use a special cable.

Right so you can only search while driving if you do the software mod or cable bypass. There is a reason for that, so you can't really complain about that functionality. As for searching I find it pretty good. If you type about 3 to 5 characters after selecting a poi it pretty much finds the place first in the list.

So by the time the Pioneer unit is powered up and running it already has locked the signal. So maybe it's not so bad in that respect. I guess the iPod stuff is not too great, but after this weekend of using HD Radio I am loving it. You know you get extra stations too! Really sweet stuff.

Are you using the RCA connectors of the harness you provided the link to? There are specific RCA connectors that come in the box, try connecting them instead.

I should mention that if you buy the head unit from them I think Best Buy offer free installation and Car Toys offer installation for $70 from $250. But I paid $500 for my F90bt while both car toys and BB only had the 900bt and it was $850, so either way you pay for it.

So for the parking break message, is that when you are diving? If so there is a software mod or you can do the mute wire trick. As for the GPS you can't configure it. When you say it thinks your house is down the road, did you enter your home address by typing in the address? Sometimes the street numbers are not perfect, in that case you should choose a point on the road or even just change your house number until it matches up. This isn't a problem by pioneer, but a defect of the maps. You'll find that all GPS devices are not 100% accurate.
