afareca Posted October 24, 2008 Report Share Posted October 24, 2008 If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, having an external EQ can help you set up your music a lot easyer and with better results (if you have an amp, if you don't then this won't work). I have the EQ on my F-series flat and lowdness on Middle. I just change EQ frequencies on the external EQ, sounds awsome. Also some external EQ's like mine have a higher pre-out voltage than the unit's which makes it possible to set the gains on the amp higher without getting any of that horrible hisssssssss noise. The voltage that my unit gives out is 2V and the EQ gives out 7V. The difference is unbelievable.
