How easy is it to control the Ipod function of the phone with the avic unit using the iPod Audio/Video Direct Cable? Is it slow to react, can you select play by playlists and artists just like on the Iphone? 2. Can you choose to sort through the music on the the IPhone when it is hooked up? Or does the Iphone go into sleep mode and the only option is to control it through the unit? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I often listen to streaming video/audio over the safari browser. Can I still do this with the direct Iphone/Ipod cable connected, and would I still be able to hear it through the AVIC unit? Would it display the video on the unit? Right now I have the stock Head unit and am using the auxilary jack to do this listen. But would like to know if it is possible thru the direct cable.
