derrickd5 Posted November 15, 2008 Report Share Posted November 15, 2008 I own the avic-88dvd navi add on unit and today my unit decides to stop working on me. The unit does not allow me to search any type of "address search, POI, telephone search and etc. Basically the symptoms of not having your parking brake pulled. the thing is, i have the parking brake wire grounded out so it shouldn't be a problem. I've also been running it htis way for over 2 years now without any problems. Now, i called pioneer and they said i need to send it in to get this fixed for 200 bucks, i just want to make sure it's not a simple fix before i send it in. PLEASE HELP!!!! NOTHING. i'm thinking about just ordering the brand new cndv-80mt disc from pioneer the legit way to see if it fixes this. Everything else works perfectly.
