So I installed my Z1 this last weekend and "thought" i hooked up the NavTraffic unit correctly. Guess not. Cause I don't get ANY XM stations or traffic. However, if I go to the XM Status screen I can see the GEX-P10XMT's radio ID.

So my question is..... Does the IP-Bus cable AND the Data-Out cable both have to be connected to the Z1?

I just installed the black Data-Out cable and not the blue IP-Bus cable. Since i was just following directions exactly as they both said, I figured i would only have to do the one cable like the instructions said.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

IP-Bus: The GEX-P10XMT is controlled by Pioneer IP-Bus compatible head units and navigation systems. A 5-meter (9 ft.10 in.) IP-Bus cable is supplied for connecting the XM receiver to the controlling head unit. A separate IP-Bus input is provided on the XM receiver to allow you to connect a Pioneer Multi-CD changer. If connecting to a Pioneer navigation unit, you will need to connect both the IP-Bus cable and the XM Data Cable. When connecting to non-navigation units, only the IP-Bus cable needs to be connected.
