Do I Have Everything For My Pioneer AVIC-F90BT Installation?

Recommended Posts

I drive a 2008 Honda Civic Si Coupe and I am finally getting around to getting all the parts I need to install my Navigation. Do I have everything that I need so I can bring all the equipment to the Car Audio Shop for them to install everything smoothly? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

I just did the same install a couple of weeks ago ('07 Si)

Everything looks good to me, except for the following....

1. Antenna adapter (Metra 40-HD10)

2. The factory brackets for the OEM navigation are needed to mount the F90 into the dash piece. (I can get the part # if needed)

Also, don't expect great results from the PAC unit. It's finicky at best.

Why aren't you doing the install yourself? It's not that difficult.

Yep, that's the right part for the antenna adapter.

I ordered mine from Amazon.com as well.

As for the factory brackets.....they are the OEM pieces that are used to mount the OEM nav unit. You will need them to mount an aftermarket nav unit as well. These brackets will screw into the back of the OEM dash piece that you already purchased.

The brackets that are currently holding your stock radio in cannot be used.

I got mine from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

The part numbers are as follows:

77255-SNA-A00 (passenger side)

77256-SNA-A00 (driver side)

*edit*

Do you want your unit bypassed? Is the installer willing to do the bypass for you? Does he know how?

Also, make sure the installer knows that we have a factory amp in our car, and to install accordingly.

He will either need to bypass the factory amp, or wire the Scoshe harness for amp integration.

See here.....

I went ahead and just purchased the ant adapter! :)

And thanks for the part numbers man you are a great help! I am going to get those as well too! :)

I want to get my unit bypassed and I think the toughest part is going to fing a good installer who does it for a good price and does a great installation.

is it better to bypass the factory amp or integrate it? and for the amp integration do i need to buy anything else?

i really appreciate your help man. im glad i posted this thread the same time you were online because im sure no one else would have been as great of a help as you! :)
