  1. This is ridiculous. I'm very tempted to file a chargeback on my Visa card.
  2. I have been calling but the offices are closed Well, that would make sense seeing as it's only 7:30 AM for them (PST)
  3. Hi all, I have an F90bt, and currently have the 3.0 firmware on order. I'm assuming that the new firmware update will wipe the F90 clean, including all of my setting, and the custom startup image I'm using? If so, is there a way to copy the startup image from the device to an SD card using testmode or something? I don't have a backup copy of the image, and can't find the original source. I'd hate to lose it. Thanks in advance.
  4. Yep, that's the right part for the antenna adapter. I ordered mine from Amazon.com as well. As for the factory brackets.....they are the OEM pieces that are used to mount the OEM nav unit. You will need them to mount an aftermarket nav unit as well. These brackets will screw into the back of the OEM dash piece that you already purchased. The brackets that are currently holding your stock radio in cannot be used. I got mine from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com The part numbers are as follows: 77255-SNA-A00 (passenger side) 77256-SNA-A00 (driver side) *edit* Do you want you
  5. I just did the same install a couple of weeks ago ('07 Si) Everything looks good to me, except for the following.... 1. Antenna adapter (Metra 40-HD10) 2. The factory brackets for the OEM navigation are needed to mount the F90 into the dash piece. (I can get the part # if needed) Also, don't expect great results from the PAC unit. It's finicky at best. Why aren't you doing the install yourself? It's not that difficult. (From 8thcivic.com?)

  7. I think Camel is headed in the right direction with this. Unplug the SWI-PS from the back of the unit and tell us if this remedies the problem.
  8. Striker is wrong, but I doubt he will own up to it. IIRC, the F700, F900, and F90 ALL share the same processing hardware, just waiting for someone to confirm that. I wonder how many of the folks who bash on the AVIC line actually do or have owned one? For those of you wondering what the hell I'm talking about: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/i-c-e-electrical-security-navigation/128261-avic-f90bt.html
  9. You need to ground the parking brake wire AND move/ground the mute wire if you are doing the bypass. If not, connect them as intended. As for the VSS wire, this is all I could find: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/cruisedetail/1040.html Hope that helps.
  10. The unit will function as intended without the mute wire in place, but you will lose all the benefits of the bypass. *edit* I have not tried it myself, but this might be a good excuse for you to attempt the software bypass
  11. I just completed an install of the F90BT and the SWI-PS in to an 07 Civic Si. My findings are as follows: The SWI-PS DOES work with the F90BT, but does not work well. Others may have had a better experience, and I'm not sure if my problems are caused by the SWI-PS, the AVIC, or a combination of the two. There is a rather noticeable delay between when a button is pressed and when the AVIC responds. Sometimes when pressing a button only once (volume), it isn't recognized at all. After holding the volume button down and releasing, the AVIC will continue the turn the volume up for a sec
