  1. you're not alone, i just started having this issue myself. cd audio, as well as AM/FM audio work fine on all speakers of the car, but then when i switch to my iPod, audio output gets shifted to the left side of the car. i feel as though it may be a bad iPod cable, but that's just a guess.
  2. Well see, that's the weird thing... Sometimes it pairs up, and sometimes it doesn't. I even tried to force to find the iPhone, and it couldn't detect anything. And yes, both devices have up-to-date firmware installed. I wonder if it has something to do with the latest iPhone 2.2.1 firmware, as this wasn't happening prior to the firmware update...
  3. Sorry if this has been covered before, but... My F900BT is now having issues connecting to my iPhone3G via Bluetooth, and thus, I can't make calls, or pull up my contacts list on the F900. This was all working just fine recently, just until a few days ago. The only thing that's different now is that I have firmware ver. 2.2.1 on the iPhone. It worked fine prior to the iPhone update. I've tried to force the F900 to detect it in the Phone settings menu, but after about a minute or so, it says that it can't detect it. ...and yes, Bluetooth is turned ON on the iPhone. Anyone
  4. i think i saw this issue once with my iPhone 3g. i already have issues with the clock. luckily, this one has an easy workaround: connect it after starting the unit.
  5. I had this problem too when I initially transferred my phone book from my iPhone to my F900. Try to clear the contacts out of the AVIC first. Then set your phone's Sort Order option to First, Last. Then try transferring them over again. If that doesn't work, repeat the process, but set the phone's Sort Order option when the AVIC is off, then restart it. I dunno if this is true, but maybe the unit is caching the options from when it's initially paired.
  6. Someone else also suggested to use a voltmeter to test out the voltage. I haven't gotten around to getting one yet, but at first glance, I'd like to assume I'm getting the correct power feeds since my clock retains the time setting if I go from a OFF to ACC, OFF to ON. I did a bit more investigating last night, and here's what I found: For starters, my car is a manual transmission, so I need to push on the clutch before starting the car in order to fire it up. Key positions are: 1.) Off 2.) ACC 3.) On 4.) Crank (which will spring back to On after released) Basically I was
  7. felt like i'd add to this thread as well since i'm seeing the same issue with my album art. iPhone 3G, 2.2 firmware, F900. all my album art is pixelized after enlarging the art.
  8. just wedge it through if there's an opening in the back big enough to feed it. it might be a tight fit, but it works. oh, and make sure you're not crushing the wires either.
  9. copy that. although, it would be nice if the TTS system worked when in any location of the navi... *sigh*
  10. haha no. but anyway, i checked the wire harness again last night. red (crutchfield) to red (pioneer), yellow (crutchfield) to yellow (pioneer). seems right to me, and that's what both the crutchfield diagram and the pioneer booklet matched to.
  11. Well, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I was able to reproduce the issue. Basically it happens if I set the key to the ACC position, wait about 4-5 seconds (as soon as the "Pioneer" logo shows up), and then start the car, causing the unit to reboot again. If I just start the car instantly, there's no issue there. Same goes if I leave it in the ACC position, let the system bootup completely, and then start up the car. Leaving the key in ACC position for 4-5 seconds before I crank it is just a habit I've developed since I started driving, but I guess I can adapt to change
  12. Hey all, I've been having some inconsistency issues with the clock on my unit. When I start up unit, the clock will reset back to 12:00. This is with both Auto Correction on and off. It doesn't happen all the time, so it's very random. Could it be something with the unit itself? The reason I'm guessing that is because all my other settings never get reset. I'd figure that if power to unit was being cut while the car was off, that all my settings would be reset as well. Anyone else having this issue?
  13. Is there a safe, guaranteed way to ensure that the connections won't come apart? It seems that if I pull with just the right amount of force (which doesn't seem like a lot), that the connectors will separate. I just don't want the connections to separate once installed on the car. Electric tape okay?
  14. This is in regards to the Vehicle Speed Sensor and Reverse Signal connections. Both the female and male ends of these wires are wrapped with rubber. Anyway, when I slide them into each other, they seem to lock together, but can still be pulled apart when a bit of force. I'm still a rookie at doing my own installations, but my question is - once the male end is inserted into the female male end, does the connection need to be crimped together? The Pioneer booklet doesn't mention crimping; just has a picture of sliding them together. Thanks!
