Are your addresses stored on the hdd?

I was just wondering if the addresses and settings that you select in the Z units are stored on the harddrive.

 

I updated my Z2 to a Z3 without an issue but it was a new Z2 so I had no information on the drive anyways. I was just wondering if I were to reimage the harddrive again at a later time would I lose all my setting and addresses?

 

I realize my music and stuff would be lost unless I backed it all up first but I was just wondering where the addresses etc are stored.
