Pretty sure it uses SSD now...at least, I don't recall having seen a HDD when someone posted pictures of it taken apart.

I mean every company tries to cut corners everywhere. My clues were that they used an outdated chip, with outdated OS included, with outdated pioneer software engineers.

 

So i thoguht it was safe to say that they were using a HDD.

The older Pioneer units used HDDs and they can be swapped out, maybe thats what your thinking of.
