kennega Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 First post, go easy Has anyone had luck streaming Internet Radio to their Avic unit via the iPhone 3g? I'm assuming that one would need to not utilize the USB connection and simply use the RCA inputs? I may end up just grabbing a cheap car charger off eforcity and wiring it separate to charge while I'm streaming... and use the normal plug when I'm using the iPod functions. Thoughts? scotty3x3 Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 I don't know exactly what kind of internet radio you are referring to, but if it's an app, like pandora radio or something along those lines, all you need to do is plug the iphone in and after the ipod loads, hit the home button to get back to your home screen, tap the pandora app and it will play through the regular ipod cable with no problems. kennega Posted December 12, 2008 Author Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 So it doesn't "lock you out" like on some head units, where if the cable is plugged in, you can only use the head unit to control the iphone/ipod and that's it?
