harricanfloyd Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 Ok peeps, just for the record I am not an installer, but rather an enthusiast. I wired up my camera today to my d-3. From the rear backup lamp I ran a hot 12v wire to the rear camera input wire on the D-3(purple w/white stripe). The camera itself has power from the ACC wire, or switched 12v. When ever I put the truck in reverse it comes on. If I am playin my ipod, the music doesn't stop, the pic just changes.....what a pain in the ass tryin' to get that camera straight!
