waldo238
Hello people I just installed my 700 and did the 2.0 upgrade to the unit and now some of the ICONs dont work such as any thing under phone, also system setup and NAVI setup. There is one thing that I think might be the problem is that I did forget to hook up the wire to the parking brake could this be my problem? Most everything else seems to work. if this is it then should I hook it up or do the mod to it, and which one hardware or software. Any help on this would be great if there is a proble then I will take it back to CC.
nivanov
Yeah, you definitely did not hook up the parking brake wire right. Navi and System settings are greyed out until you actually pull on the handbrake. If I were you, I'd do a hardware bypass in addition to software bypass. For hardware, you only need to ground the parking brake wire, and software bypass will take care of the rest.
waldo238
Would you happen to have the info and steps I need to take to complete this?

waldo238
I did the hardware mod and all is good. What does the software part do for?
CamelTowing
For people that would rather hack software instead of take thirty seconds to move that wire I did the hardware mod and all is good. What does the software part do for?
