blackbimmer
For whatever reason, my Z2 drive (30g) showed up as unpartioned with nothing on it. So here's what I have done: 1. In windows, initialized the drive. Did NOT partion it. 2. Now start Acronis Home edition, select the z3image-1.tib go thru the process to restore each of the 4 partitions - for some reason, it automatically chose the correct size for each.. Hit run and it does it's thing for about 15 minutes. So now what - what about all the other z3image files - there's like 12 of them??? And windows still shows no partitions on the drive, but the 4 new drive letters show up in explorer but don't have the correct labels - what am I supposed to do? Acronis combined the tib files, you only need to select the first one... If the labels are incorrect, you can rename them, but the Z does not care.
blackbimmer
Thanks Garret - it ended up working great - what I did notice is that when I restore with Acronis, unless I give the partition a drive letter, nothing will show up in Windows - is that OK?? I did put the drive back into the car and it worked great...
garrettoomey
You do not need to assign a drive letter in windows, the avic does not use the drive letters assigned by windows.
