kruzzer
I just got finished with the wiring harnesses on my tundra install. With all the great info on this site this part went pretty easy. I have also located the vss and backup wire(behind left kick panel). Along with the 900bt "kit" came a pruple/white wire with a 'fuse resistor" built in. This is the wire they give you to run to rear to connect to your backup light wire for the backup camera. I'm not sure I know what a "resistor fuse" is... My question is since I'm only going a short distance to the kick panel do i need to use this wire with the resistor in it?? thanks in advance
nsiddons
not sure but i think its like a 1 way valve or like a check valve power can go 1 way but not the other this would be needed for rear lights that the trigger is -12v
joegr
not sure but i think its like a 1 way valve or like a check valve power can go 1 way but not the other this would be needed for rear lights that the trigger is -12v No, it's not a diode. It's a resistor. The purpose of the resistor is to limit the maximum current that can flow. That protects both the AVIC and the car.
